We have known for quite some time but we are now ready to announce Sylvia-Meppen-Rentenaar has joined the Vera Lane Studio Design Team!  We are all excited Sylvia has moved to our lane!

If you follow our FB group you have seen Sylvia's clean crisp style and bold dynamic colors.  Sylvia has been included in our team chat and I can tell you that her energy and synergy is a great addition to our talented group of loyal ladies.

Sylvia would like to share a little about herself:
Hello everybody, Today I introduce myself in the Design Team of Vera Lane Studio. My name is Sylvia. I live in the Netherlands in a small village called Opperdoes. I am happily married to Gertjan. And I have 2 beautiful daughters of 16 and 8 years old. I like mixed media applications in my projects. Everything I apply is self-taught. I like to experiment and I often play with my materials that I use on my projects. I mainly use a lot of bright colors. They make me happy! I hope that I can bring you a lot of inspiration to get started with VLS yourself! My text in life is: "Be the artist you want to see in yourself."

Please help us welcome Sylvia!  I'm sure you will adore her art and look forward to her Friday posts!

Design Team 2018

Happy New Year everyone!   Vera Lane Studio has been busy planning ahead for our 2018 collections.  We released 2018 Matilda early and she has found her way into many hearts.  We have two new lines and our "Tiny Veras" that will be released each month, collage sheets and planner props too!  Our new line will lend itself to more art journaling and mixed media to prepare to see some new things emerging from the studio.

As we say goodbye to two design team members we are moving ahead with our very talented ladies; Corrie, Carole, Stephanie, Sharon, and Teresa.  New to Vera Lane Studio Design Team we are bringing aboard Angie Jones. Thanks to Stephanie for locating the perfect fit for our team, Angie has already been creating behind the scenes and you will love her style.  Angie is attracted to the quirkiness of Vera Lane Studio and has been a member of several design teams.  She would like to share a little bit about herself:

"I live in Queensland, Australia with my hubby, son, daughter and our spoilt adopted Greyhound.
I have always loved colouring in since I can remember....my stamping / card making started around 30 years ago.....I bought some copic markers at a craft show about 3 years ago and sort of yes/ no for a year. Around 18 months ago, I did a few online classes and bam.....whole collection of markers now and I colour everyday!  I still have traditional stamps but I love and prefer Digital images now. I also create art journal pages, atc’s and have just really gotten into decorating my planner/diary."

Welcome Design Team 2018!

Welcome Corrie Herriman to our Design Team

We are so pleased that our entire design team will be staying on to continue their play with Vera Lane Studio digi stamps. The team is excited to add another member to our team of talent.

Many of you know Corrie and the creations she has shared.  Now you will see Corrie's weekly posts. The team has already had a preview of things to come and we can tell you that you will be tickled!

So welcome Corrie!  Please read her introduction and look for her creations on Sundays!

Hi, my name is Corrie. I live in the Netherlands in a small market town called Venlo, which is situated next to the German border.
I have been crafting all my life; I knitted, crocheted, made dolls and teddy bears, painted and probably did quite a few more crafts. In 2012 I discovered paper craft and the rest is history as they say. I love bright colours but also like vintage and shabby chic. I started making cards and then quickly branched out into artjournaling, altering things, ATC's, postcards and tags. I love trying new things... and I have all the time in the world for my hobby as I don't work anymore.  Apart from crafting I also like nice food and wine, lovely holidays, reading and cooking.
I am very happy to be on this team and I look forward to sharing my projects with you !

Sharon Rogers in not new to Vera Lane -- she has been playing on our lane from the very beginning!  Active in our FaceBook group Sharon's creations are always inspiring.

Sharon has been crafting for at least half of her forty-eight years. From rubber stamping, sewing, papercrafts, ceramics, cross stitch, beading –" LOL you can imagine the “stash” of things I have – can’t bear to throw anything out not even a scrap of paper – never know when it might come in handy!"  Don't we know it!

Crafting is Sharon's only hobby and form of relaxation and creativity – She crafts whenever she can – even take digi images to bed to colour before she goes to sleep!

Sharon has been on several design teams but now chooses to park her truck here on Vera Lane! And we are thrilled that she is here!

Miscelle Smith

Mischelle Smith has been in the papercrafting world for over 20 years.  In her ‘old life’ she was the founder of a stamping company that reached stampers worldwide.  Today, this die-hard stamper has spread her wings into the worlds of mixed media, journaling, scrapbooking and everything she considers ‘Artsy Fabulous’.
Mischelle considers most of her work ‘Art Therapy’.  “Art heals me – the entire creative process heals me and feeds my soul.  Without art in my life I would be nothing more than an empty vessel.”
Mischelle’s style is broad – from eclectic to creepy, whimsical to unique, traditional to classic – she likes to explore and experiment with everything the industry has to offer.  “I love pretty much everything made for papercrafters.  Yep.  Pretty much everything.”
Over the years Mischelle has been published in many of the industry publications; has been a guest artist on the Carol Duvall show several times; and has made guest artist appearances on Paint, Paper and Crafts.
Mischelle lives in the heart of Kansas with her husband, Kevin, and their two kids – Kevin II (Boy) and Sophie.  Their American Bulldog, Stella, is not only the glue that holds the family together – she is also the most photographed member of the family.

Meet our special "Pop-up" Designer, Jane (Not so Plain Jane) Wetzel

Our intros would not be complete without a special shout out to Jane Wetzel.  Jane is no stranger to design teams but like a true artist does not conform.  Jane has been playing on Vera Lane for a while with her creative and unique art pieces offering a little something different and whimsical.  Jane is a true mixed media artist, whether she is using home-made stencils or creating small canvases or wooded boards her creations are truly inspirational.  Don't look for Jane on any given day -- she's our pop-up designer, you just never know when the VLS mood strikes her!
