Who's around the corner?

Life gets in the way when Vera Lane characters want to come out and play.  Sometimes they are peering out of sketchbooks, scattered on the drawing board, or hiding under a cup of coffee.
They talk.
They giggle.
They decide when they are ready to come out.

Well, I can tell you this; I try my best to assist their entry into the digital world.  Some are very stubborn, but once they emerge, they are all personality and so ready for your interpretation.

Monday, August 11th Vera Lane will debut some crazy little characters ripe for Halloween or anytime you need a good boo.  A whimsical and nutty duo, and a quirky character you may recognize from the silver screen.

They are coming.

This is a warning.

Spring is sure to follow

Welcome March.
It's a gorgeous day here in Arizona. We've had a rather mild winter, and after a well-needed downpour yesterday the sun is shining and the air is crisp.
While friends and family are still experiencing storms and snow, nature's promise, spring is sure to follow.

Spring is not here yet, but "April" is patiently waiting for you  my Etsy digi stamp shop.  She comes to you un-colored along with some accent flowers and the text;

"No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow."

April can be resized for your paper craft needs. She's perfect for birthday, get well, thinking of you cards, and invites.  Print, color, and cut for art journals or tag art.

Check out April and her growing group of friends. April and other images are available for instant download. You can find April and my other quirky images at: www.etsy.com/shop/VeraLaneStudio

New Images on Vera Lane

"Bloom" is a set of three images that will come to you in six files. Why six files? Three of the blooms are very light and will print in a softer value. I used the lighter set for this delicate watercolor wash.

I arranged the three Bloom images and inserted a borderless text box to type "Merci." Using a water brush, it took under a couple of minutes to add some light watercolor washes, and tie with a bow.

Stella Luna is a set of four digi stamps.  I would love to show you a sample, however, my dog ate it. (True story)  She's really quite cute, and I wanted to get her in the shop before we hit October.
